Top 10 List of the Best Affiliate Networks by Titus Hoskins

First, if you're new to affiliate marketing, some preliminary explanations may prove helpful in your quest for becoming a part-time or full-time affiliate marketer.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is quite simple to explain: you promote and market a product or company in return for a commission if a sale or lead is made from your marketing efforts. With online affiliate marketing you simply place your affiliate ID embedded links on your web pages and if a customer clicks your link and proceeds to that designated company's site and makes a purchase or signs up for a service, you earn a commission.

Affiliate marketing, if done right, can prove to be a very lucrative venture. Commissions can run anywhere from a few pennies to thousands of dollars for just one click or sale. Professional marketers develop affiliate relationships with hundreds of companies and build sites to promote these companies and products.

Needless to say, the advent of the Internet has been a golden opportunity for affiliate marketers to really expand their promotions and marketing. As more as more customers choose to buy online, advertising and purchases keep increasing at a maddening pace.

To accommodate all this online ecommerce we have seen the birth of large affiliate networks, operated by large corporations. Make no mistake, affiliate marketing is big business, accounting for billions in sales and commissions.

What is an Affiliate Network?

An affiliate network is a third party facilitator which brings affiliates and companies together. It connects Advertisers (companies with products or services to sell) together with Publishers (those who display and promote these products or services) so they can do business. The affiliate network does all the tracking, accounting and payment of commissions.

The following Top 10 list of the best Affiliate Networks is compiled by an actual full-time affiliate marketer who has worked these programs for over five years. This list is subjective and based on first-hand experience. It should be seen in this light and every marketer probably will have a different list or have these in a different picking order depending on the type and nature of their marketing.

But this list of the 10 Best Affiliate Networks will give you a general rundown on these affiliate networks and how they operate.

1. Commission Junction (www.cj.com)

Now owned by ValueClick, Commission Junction was one of the first affiliate networks. It is also one of the most important with many of the Top Fortune 500 companies listed here.

CJ is an international network with excellent stats and tracking (some of the best you will find), along with regular monthly payments makes this the obvious first choice for anyone wishing to try affiliate marketing. For those new or old at affiliate marketing, CJ also holds regular seminars and training sessions.

Most merchants offer pay-per-lead or pay-per-sale, one of the best features is the performance bonuses and incentives. As most experienced marketers will know, selling 50k to 100k each month for merchants will bring in the big incentives or bonuses.

Commissions run as high as 50% but most are in 3% to 15% range. You have the option of direct deposit for your payments. One major plus, CJ will tell you which merchants and ads are earning the most revenue for affiliates so you can easily choose which merchants are worth promoting.

2. ClickBank (www.clickbank.com)

ClickBank is another professional affiliate network with excellent stats and tracking. Easy to use and pays every two weeks.

ClickBank is slightly different from the other networks in that it deals mainly with digital download products. The commissions from ClickBank are usually much higher than the other networks, around 40% to 50% or more.

ClickBank has over 10,000 products but keep in mind, info-marketing products will have stiff competition from all the savvy and well established Internet marketers promoting these same products. Consider youself warned!

The most successful marketing tactic here is to first dominate your targeted niche with your blogs and sites, then find affiliate products to match your content or niche subject matter, whether it be gardening equipment, gaming laptops or Mediterranean cruises!.

3. LinkShare (www.linkshare.com)

LinkShare is another excellent affiliate network. It is one of the oldest affiliate networks on the web. LinkShare was recently acquired by the Japanese Portal Rakuten, with a price tag of $425 million.

Very good stats and reporting with their Synergy Analytics system. Many Top Fortune 500 companies are presented here so you will no trouble finding products and services to promote. LinkShare pays commissions as they receive them from merchants - monthly checks.

4. Affiliate Window (www.affiliatewindow.com)

Affiliate Window is an UK based affiliate network which offers top brand companies and good commission rates. Pays once a month and has excellent stats.

Savvy affiliate marketers know promoting in other countries can be much easier than promoting in the American market place. Mainly because these other countries haven't become saturated with online marketers, little competition means more sales.

5. Amazon (www.amazon.com)

Amazon is another excellent affiliate network to join if you want to sell products from your site or blog. Amazon has excellent stats and the links are very easy to create and place on your web pages.

You also have the option of creating your own store with Amazon aStores. Amazon also now has context link ads and Widgets!

Commission rates are somewhat lower than the other networks but making sales thru Amazon is much, much easier. You will make more sales mainly because Amazon is a well known and trusted online company. Amazon now pays monthly.

6. Shareasale (www.shareasale.com)

Shareasale is yet another easy system to work with good stats and simple to create links. With 1,700+ merchants to choose from, Shareasale is another good affiliate network to promote.

The control panel is easy to use and the reporting is very good. Usually pays the month following your sales.

7. Google (www.google.com/adsense/)

Many won't think of Google as an Affiliate network but it does run affiliate products thru its Adsense program. Very few products but like everything from Google it is professionally run and top caliber all the way.

Please note, top marketers know affiliate links/products on their content pages will return 10 times what Google Adsense will give them. However, these marketers will also know using Google Adsense on less targeted pages throughout your sites or blogs will give you a healthy return.

Besides receiving that monthly check from a multi-billion dollar company like Google will put a smile on your face every time.

8. LinkConnector (www.linkconnector.com)

LinkConnector is a relatively new affiliate network which launched in 2004. It has Pay Per Click, Pay Per Sale and Pay Per Lead. Good stats and reporting. Worth checking out for their different types of new affiliate technology such as Direct Linking which passes pagerank along to the merchant's site.

9. CPA Empire (www.cpaempire.com)

Great CPA (Cost Per Action) network especially if you do a lot of email marketing and promotions. Geared towards acquiring leads and sign-ups but does offer other merchants as well. Good stats and reporting.

10. Independents

Individual affiliate deals with different companies which may or may not be listed with the major networks above. Your independent affiliate deals will be some of your most lucrative since you can sometimes work out separate private commission rates and bonuses. Aim for residual income here. Don't ignore this aspect of affiliate marketing as it will pay the highest dividends.

Keep in mind, all the above affiliate networks are middlemen, they come between you and the merchant you're promoting. For affiliates with a proven track record, who have shown they can deliver the customers and sales, a private deal cutting out the middleman/fees can prove very beneficial for both parties. If you're fortunate enough to become known as a super affiliate, these private deals will become more common and more profitable.

Professional affiliate marketers use all of the above networks to create multiple income streams from their marketing efforts. In the process, they build a healthy monthly income for themselves and their families. There is no reason why you can't do the same.

Promote Your Products For Free by Secret Affiliate

One of the things that strikes you as soon as you make the decision to start affiliate marketing is this: the dearth of helpful information on what you can actually do to get your affiliate marketing efforts to pay off. Of course, bare-bones guides tell you that you can start by registering a domain name and creating a sales page. Then all you have to do is register with some service for pay-per-click ads and money will start flowing in, they say.

Unfortunately, this is a "pipe-dream!"

But it is possible to promote without spending a fortune on advertising. There are several ways to generate free traffic to your domain name that actually work...

1. Forums

With their popularity rising every day, forums offer you a great opportunity to promote your affiliate link. Visit forums related to your product and give helpful suggestions or useful information. Don't forget to include your signature file at the bottom of the post. This is how interested clients will find you.

My guarantee: if you've contributed something useful, you will see an immediate rise in traffic through your link.

2. Blogging

Search engines simply love blogs. So you really can't imagine earning 'super' money without setting up a blog. There are a number of free blogging services available. Sign up with one of them and follow their easy instructions. You will be ready to go in less time than it takes to bake a cake!

Target your blog tightly around the exact niche you are promoting and add to it regularly. The incoming traffic will blow you away! This is one of the top ways to earn affiliate income from your domain.

Another neat technique: Visit related blogs and post your comments. This will bring links back to your own blog. Of course, spamming is a big NO!

3. Set up a fantastic squeeze page

Your 'pre-sell' page or landing page is like the appetizer before the main course: just good enough to whet your reader's appetite for more. Just give your visitors enough to make them leave their email address with you.

Squeeze pages help you build your most important affiliate tool - your lead list. This list is the pulse of your online business because it contains the names of all those people who might be interested in the product you offer.

Another important tip: Utilize technology to your advantage. Place a short video or audio on your squeeze page. This is the easiest way to punch up customer responsiveness.

4. Write a complimentary report

The web is all about offering quality information for FREE!

Write a free 5-8 page report and advertise it using blogs, forums and social bookmarking sites. Include your affiliate link in the report. If your report is genuine, many people will check back and discover your product.

Paid ads can break your marketing budget even before you start. So stay away from paid advertising.

A new affiliate marketing campaign must always start out with the lowest possible investment on your part. If your product is brand new in the marketplace, diving directly into a Pay Per Click campaign will lose you money. Before making the decision to pay for ads, exhaust all free methods. Once the existing channels start paying up, you can experiment with paid advertising.

This simple blueprint will help you generate massive income from your site.

9 Questions to Ask Before Committing to an Affiliate Program by Digital Info Diva™

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

1. Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

2. When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

3. What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

4. How are referrals from an affiliate's site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

5. What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

6. Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

7. Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

8. Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

9. Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 20% - 80% (and some cases, 100%!) is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important. Digital products pay the highest commission; many of the merchants you find in affiliate programs like Commission Junction, LinkShare, etc. pay as low as 3% - 15%.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask these questions before committing to an affiliate program. These can help you make the right selection for your site from among the many available.

Business Blogs - A Revenue Earner by John Mathews

How about starting a business blog and making money from it. Business blogs cater to the specific niche of business it targets. For example if you are financial wizard and have knowledge of investing in shares, why not start a blog about investing in shares? And if you are fond of books why not write book reviews and make some money out of it. Here's how you go ahead.

Get a blog first

You will need a blog to start in the first place. Blogger and Wordpress are two blog service providers who would give you a blog for free. There's an easy signup process that can give you a brand new blog within minutes. Blogger is quite popular and has interfaces for language blogging also.

On Wordpress the process of getting a blog is similar. Enter a username, password, email address, and accept the terms and conditions to begin blogging on Wordpress. Wordpress also gives you the option of creating just an identity without opting for a blog.

Focus on the theme of your business

Focus on the theme of the business you will be writing about on your blog. If it is books you are writing about, write all you know about them, review books by your favorite authors, and interview them if possible.

If it is about the stock market, write about the companies that ar doing well and are worth investing. Copy and paste the company's share movements (there's no ban on copying charts, as far as we know). Make your analysis in-depth and incisive and your readers would love it.

Similarly, if your blog is about technology, subscribe to the RSS of all popular technology blogs and sites and embed them on your blog. Your readers would love to visit your blog again if you have a variety of information related to the theme of the blog.

How to make money

Affiliate Marketer Beginner- 3 Important Beginner Tips by DeBora Collins

If you have just begun your quest as an Affiliate, you probably have done the easy things, like signing up with the popular affiliate networks like Clickbank.com, LinkShare.com, CJ.com, and PayDotCom.com just to name a few. These are some of the most popular affiliate networks. Of course your next step would be to choose products that you would like to promote or advertise. This step also seems easy, as most people would just pick the product or products that pay the highest commission, right? Well...as a affiliate marketer and beginner, you need to choose products that are wanted and needed by consumers. If you really want to make some money doing this business, you are going to have to take the time to analyze what people are searching for online. One of the biggest mistakes affiliate beginners make, is they skip that part altogether, they try to promote something that is not in demand now or they don't brainstorm to see what the market is in need of. As you might not know, what's hot today is not necessarily hot tomorrow or next month. Do yourself a favor and do some research, find what people want or need and then match the product to that need, or want. To really prosper in the affiliate business, you have to keep up with, not only what's hot, but what search terms people are typing into the search engines. These keywords are the meat to your prosperity because your ad or article for your product will show up in the search engines if you know what search terms consumers are typing into the search engines. It sounds hard but it really isn't when you know how to implement certain strategies from finding a niche product to represent - to driving traffic to that niche product. Of course this process requires patience and perseverance but before long you will reap what you sow, if you don't give up. The strategies I will present here are for those who are just beginning and I am assuming you don't have a website and you want to spend as less money as possible or none at all to begin as an affiliate marketer. Here's 3 tips to getting started for the affiliate marketer beginner:

1. Brainstorming Ideas - Write a list of ideas you are interested in, or know about, or research them if you don't. Perhaps you're a great cook, and with the holidays quickly approaching, you may have some special recipes you would like to share. Very Important - always try to give your potential customer something free and beneficial to their need. So say you give up a few recipes in your article, but you are also promoting a great recipe book. A person would be more inclined to clicking your affiliate link because you gave up some great recipes, and they want more. Sowing and reaping here. Now let's assume this person is a beginner cook or is recently married and unskilled at cooking They don't only need holiday recipes but recipes for everyday cooking. They want to learn, and you will help them by providing the product that fills that need or desire. So give your potential customer something of value freely, and then let them know about your product - that will further enhance what you've already given them for free. Here is a website, www.google.com/trends. You'll see the top ten trends. You can click on "More Hot Trends," this list has a 100 trends listed that have been recently searched for and updated hourly. Perhaps this will get your mental juices flowing on brainstorming ideas.

2. Keyword Optimization - Keyword optimization is when you do a search on keywords you think people are typing into the search engines for whatever it is they're searching for. The objective of this search is to see if people are actually looking for what you have with the keywords you think they would use to search for what you are promoting.(Think like the searcher would). Here is a free trial tool that will help, although it is limited, but will do for the affiliate beginner, who can later on get the paid full version. This tool called Wordtracker - www.wordtracker.com will give you the count on how many searches were done using your keyword or keyword phrase and how many in the last 24 hours. It will also give you the amount of competing websites for that given phrase. You want your term searched with a count of at least 100 times, with few competing websites between 1000 to 5000. You simply type in your keyword or keyword phrase, and wordtracker will give you other related keywords , you can ignore these if you feel they are not related enough and just click on the keyword or phrase you typed in and wholla, the information is provided. You may have to try several keywords before you come up with a profitable one or you may even have to try another niche idea altogether. Now, being that Wordtracker extracts the amount of competing websites from MSN, which represents only a partial amount. You can really see the competition by going into Google and typing your phrase in quotes, like this: "leasing homes." This will pull up a more accurate count of competing websites which are usually higher than MSN. Wordtracker gives words with a low count and zero or few competing websites a higher KEI (keyword effectiveness index). Don't use those words, what good would it do to use these words and no one was actually using them to search. You only want keywords with a high KEI, if they are searched for a lot, not less than a 100 times, with not very much competition, 1000 to 5000 competing websites or less.

3. How to use the keywords Effectively - If you have decided to write articles which is a free method of advertising, then you must use these keywords in your title and throughout your article naturally. Be careful not to over use your keywords purposely to get a high ranking through the search engines, they will pick up on this. Write an article that is content rich, meaning very interesting and informative which is beneficial to the potential customer. Give them something that will peak their interest enough to want what you have or at least allow them to remember how informative your information was to the point, that even if they don't purchase then, they may later, and they may also recommend your article and product to others. Keep writing rich and informative content with your keywords inserted naturally within your article.

Summary: Find a targeted niche (a specialized interest), not one that is too broad and therefore too competitive for a beginner just starting in the affiliate business. Choose a niche that is more targeted to a specific group. Painting, Guitar Lessons, Eczema, etc. Find a need and offer your product to fill the need. Remember to give something of value and free in the process and then offer your product to enhance what you have already given. You will learn a lot in your affiliate business, and can later implement other techniques that would allow you to target broad audiences such as the weight loss market, or even the making money market. For now, stay narrow. Think like your potential customer, when coming up with keywords they would use when searching for your product in the search engines. Optimize these keywords with the free tool, Wordtracker, then go to google and type in the keywords or search phrase in quotation marks to assess the full competition. Use these keywords in your article or ad. The title should contain the keyword or phrase. Use these keywords and phrases naturally throughout your article. Of course these keywords should be relevant to the product you are promoting. Don't write an article about candy and then promote peanuts as your product. Relevancy counts! These methods are free but if you have a little cash to implement into your business for more advanced tools, then by all means use them. This is for the affiliate beginner who is short on cash, but have time to implement these strategies.

Two Tiered Affiliate by Bruce Fulmire

Two Tiered Affiliate

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online. There is very little if any costs that need to be incurred, you don't need to deal with customers, and you do not have to touch any inventory.

Whenever you sell a product, you get paid a commission. These commissions can be well over 50% of the product price and merchandisers are glad to pay that much. For them, it is a matter of someone else doing the advertising for them. What they are essentially doing is trading one dollar for two. That is a trade I would make all day long.

Some programs go deeper than that even, which is what brings me to the subject of two tiered affiliate programs. They work similar to Multi level marketing programs except there are fewer ranks of people "under " you. What I mean is that these programs usually go as far as commissioning you on all that you bring in, and then a bit of all that your referrees bring in.

For example, an affiliate program that is two tiered can pay a commission of 14$ to you for each customer that buys through you. Lets say you got 5 people. Good job! Everyone is congratulating you and you are getting the recognition you deserve. If this is a program that bills people every month, then that 14$ per person comes to you every month. This equals $70 per month residual income that you will never have to work for again.

Lets say out of those 5 people each of them on average signs up 3 more. Some will sign up one, zero, or ten, so on average lets say three. Also, lets say that this program pays two additional dollars per month for everyone your referrees bring in.

3 people X 5 referrees= 15 additional people. 15 additional people X 2 dollars = $30 per month.

30+70= 100$ per month, not a bad chunk of change.

I hope you have learned the benefits that a two tiered affiliate can offer you as an income source.

I am also in a two tiered program. A link to that site and how you can join to is in my bio. Stop getting paid only once for the hard work you do and start learning to relax knowing that money will flow two you once you've dug a decent channel for it to flow through.

Linkshare Tutorial - What's LinkShare, And Do I Need To Use It? by Jack Rose

Online affiliate marketing is one of the most effective, cheapest and fastest ways to promote merchandise. With millions of people getting access to the Internet everyday, theres a great chance for a merchant to introduce his products and services to a wider market, thereby, maximizing his revenue.

Likewise, affiliate marketing is an excellent way to generate full-time income for a home-based affiliate marketer. For someone who is jaded of going through a grueling eight-hour work routine, affiliate marketing offers a great opportunity to earn big without wearing himself out "physically, mentally and emotionally.

In affiliate marketing, both parties are benefited since as the merchant earns from each item sold, the marketer likewise earns a commission.

If you are interested in affiliate marketing but are finding it hard to look for affiliate programs, affiliates or merchants, you can start by checking sites of various affiliate networks. Many affiliate programs in the Internet are being offered through an affiliate program network, which acts as a link between the merchants and individual affiliates.

Among the most popular is LinkShare, it is through it that merchants and affiliates meet. LinkShare maintains and manages affiliate marketing programs for a great number of merchants with various kinds of businesses, products and services. It also has over 6,000 affiliate site members in its network. It gains profit from the set-up fees, monthly account maintenance fees and commissions.

Joining networks like LinkShare can be of great help in establishing your online marketing business. Whether you are a merchant or an affiliate marketer, you need to research well on your partners in order to choose the best for you.

LinkShare provides the facility of acquiring access to a large network of advertisers (merchants) who offer their affiliate programs to publishers (affiliates) who are willing to promote their products. In the same manner, it gives the merchants access to a large network of affiliates who are searching for affiliate marketing opportunities.

LinkShare is especially beneficial for an affiliate in choosing his partners since he can find his options all in one location. It would be easier for him to compare products, commission rates and other benefits given by the merchant. The merchant usually just waits for interested affiliates to sign up in his affiliate marketing program but being in the network increases his chance to promote his products to a larger market, thus, maximizing his potential to gain huge profit.

To help you decide whether to use large affiliate networks such as LinkShare or not, let us try to look deeper into its positive and negative sides. The primary advantage of LinkShare to you as an affiliate is convenience.

As earlier mentioned, you find different pieces of information about your choices simultaneously all in a single location, so you save time and effort looking for affiliate programs or merchants.

Its also easier to track your business partners performance through monthly reports and statements, as well as its sales and commission rates, so you know whether the affiliate program is still worth continuing. If you have signed up for several affiliate programs, you can check all your statistics for each merchandiser you are affiliated with by logging in just once.

LinkShare helps you manage and maintain all records of your visitors click-throughs and sales transaction. It takes care of your commissions and gives it to you monthly in lump sum. Especially when you have more than one merchant partner, it would be easier for you to manage your accounts and track your earnings when you are affiliated through a marketing program network. Furthermore, every information you get is accurate and secured, so you are protected from all the risk you might encounter. Above all, you can enjoy LinkShares benefits for free. You just have to go to their site and register your website. Instantly, you get access to a great variety of affiliate programs available for you.

So, whats on the negative side? Although, it is indeed helpful to join affiliate marketing networks such as LinkShare, there are some disadvantages, too.

For one, merchants offer lower commissions to affiliates who partner with them through the third party program network. This because they still have to pay for the use of service and the technology provided by LinkShare.

Direct partnership with the merchant cuts costs of advertising through the network and so the affiliate has bigger potential to earn more. Moreover, it is possible that your payment may be delayed for a month or more since program networks would pay you only after the advertiser or the merchant has paid them. Do you need to use LinkShare or other networks? It depends, actually. You can opt for direct partnership with the merchant, but this choice is not applicable all the time. There are a lot of merchandisers who offer their affiliate program only through affiliate program networks and thus, you have no choice other than joining the network to get into the affiliate marketing program.

So you are faced with take it or leave it situation. But LinkShare and other program networks are not that disadvantageous. After all, whether you join it or not, earning big would depend more on your promotional strategies and persistence.

This is the most common mistake made by newbie: registered with too many affiliate programs and try to promote every of them. Those success in this business normally just choose a few programs to focus on and work out their marketing plan to promote the products of their selected niche. If you are a newbie, ClickBank, LinkShare and Commission Junction are your good options to be considered in selecting your affiliate programs.

The time to success vary from one person to another, some may take 3 to 6 months to success, other may need 2 to 3 years depends on their efforts and techniques to promote their affiliate products. Most people think that affiliate business is easy and can be success within a few weeks and with least efforts. That's why when they see no positive result after 2 to 3 months, they give up. Don't ever give up too soon if you do not spend enough time and efforts try to make it a success. You may just need one more step to achieve the success but because of you give up too soon, you will never see the result.

Affiliate marketing is a proven success business, if you did not achieve your success, there must be something wrong either with your marketing techniques or the approaches that affecting the result.

How An Affiliate Marketing Business Can Make You Money by TIm Ng

Affiliate marketing is a great way to either make a few extra bucks to pay some bills with or to kick your day job for good. However you must learn to do affiliate marketing the right way by avoiding the pitfalls and con artists associated with trying to make money online. Here are a few tips that will help you make money online as an affiliate marketer.

#1. Join a proven affiliate marketing network. This means to join a reputable network that offers good affiliate programs. This way you can be certain that you'll get paid (yes, there have been companies that don't pay their affiliates) you'll receive a good amount of help from the program affiliate managers to get going and you can be pretty certain that the products that they're offering are good quality, because the affiliate network is staking their reputation on it. Some good places to start are companies like Clickbank, Linkshare, ShareaSale, Performics, Commision Junction and more.

#2. Build a professional looking affiliate website and do product reviews. This means to stay away from these free page builders, free autoresponders and free hosting plans. These things look cheap and have other people's ads all over them. Your visitors WILL KNOW that you're too cheap to spend $10.00 per month to at host a blog or other professional web page.

#3. Generate large amounts of relevent, TARGETED traffic to your website by using articles and pay per click advertising. Learn how to do these types of advertising right away. Article marketing is free, but very time consuming, whereas, pay per click costs money, but will bring you immediate, targeted traffic. Be careful using pay per click! Don't try for the most popular keywords, keep your bids way down to begin with and DON'T FORGET to set your daily budget for what you can afford to spend. If you can only afford to spend $5.00 per day, then set your daily budget at $5.00 and your ads will stop once you've reached your limit. If you don't set your limit you could lose HUNDREDS of dollars or more!

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners by Regine Hehn

The following article is the result of years of ongoing interaction with enthusiasts just like you. The article was written to answer some of the most frequently asked questions, as well as address common issues that people have with this topic. I hope that you will find the information in this article helpful. http://affiliate.mynew.ws/best-affiliate-programs/best-affiliate-programs.phpAffiliate marketing is defined as a widespread method of promotion in which an affiliate (or associate) is rewarded for every view, sale, and/or registration produced through the affiliate's effort.

It's similar to collecting a finder's-fee or the commissions typical of retail store clerks. The more one sells... the more one gets paid.

Compensation calculations vary and could be based on any of the following:

PPC (pay-per-click) a specific amount is paid for each visit

PPL (pay-per-lead) where registration or sign-up counts

PPS (pay-per-sale) a specific commission per sale is paid

If your goal is to generate your total income online, you can drive traffic from your subscriber lists to affiliate links just as easily as to your own product links.

What About Product Sales and Marketing?

You'll want to watch for great products and services with the potential to benefit your niche and your mailing lists. To build trust and income, it's best to recommend only those products that will be of specific interest to them. It's a win-win situation for everyone that way.

When an affiliate is marketing any product, the cost of advertising the product is absorbed by the affiliate. It's important to keep this cost in mind when promoting products. The higher the percentage of affiliate income possible from any quality product, the more that product is worth promoting.

When a product is sold through the affiliate's link, depending on the service used, the total sale is divided up among the vendor or service, the affiliate, the taxing authority, the shipper (if any), and the payment processor.

It is common and expected that all affiliate details be spelled out in the affiliate sign-up process. However, you needn't be afraid to contact any vendor to clarify their affiliate program if you have questions. Often you can telephone or email for a fast reply.

Is a Digital Lifestyle for Me?

Many standard retailers offer very small rewards for affiliate sales while most internet marketers offer around 50%. This is why being an affiliate of digital products can be very lucrative in a relatively short period of time.

Although the number of affiliate programs for tangible goods and off-line services is rising, a completely digital lifestyle can be developed solely from digital or downloadable affiliate products that may never take physical form.

Of course it's important to note that as an affiliate of any tangible product, you generally never do more than promote a link to the product online. So in that sense it's the same as a digital product.

One of the best places to find digital products to affiliate with is ClickBank.com. They have an automatic affiliate 'hoplink' program built into their payment processing service so that affiliate payments are not left up to the product owner to process.

Just A Quick Sidenote: Isn't this information really useful? I don't know about you, but I have always been curious about this type of thing! It is really hard to find top quality information about it, so I decided to share a part of what I have learned about this ... keep reading!

Three other good affiliate programs to check into are:

Amazon.com http://www.amzon.com/gp/browse.html/102-3525955-0485737?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=3435371 (not an affiliate link)

LinkShare.com http://www.linkshare.com

CommissionJunction.com http://www.cj.com/solutions/online_marketing.jsp

Staying with reputable, well-known internet vendors makes a great deal of sense because you know you will get paid, when to expect a check or bank deposit, and you can see your account details online at any time.

How Do I Get Started?

There are many ways to approach affiliate marketing, but a basic starting point is to have a web site with text or image affiliate links to products you want to promote. Generally you want to stay focused within a niche or interest group to increase your sales potential.

If you have used the products, your promotional efforts could include a product review based on your own experience along with images and other supporting information.

Developing an email opt-in list is helpful in affiliate marketing as it gives the promoter an opportunity to find the products with the most potential benefit for a group of like-minded individuals.

When providing a service such as this, most affiliate marketers are able to reach enough potential customers to produce some affiliate income.

When a lot of products are promoted to several targeted niche markets, it is possible to create an income of substance over time. Especially when the affiliate marketer is only promoting quality products with a real potential to benefit customers within the niche.

In summary, affiliate marketing is a great way to build an income without having a product of your own, and without having to do much more than get interested people to view product information

through your affiliate links. It's very easy to get started and can eventually put a lot of money in your pocket.

OK, now that you have finished reading this article I want you to find more resources on this subject. Within just a short period of time you will have all of the answers that you need!

Do you believe that you can be able to get google pay per click advertisements for free.it sounds impossible but true story it actually isnt.how about you and your internet business enjoy millions worth of google pay per click advertisements for free.Which will automatically result in $1000 worth of profits.seems hard to believe but: http://riungu.freegoogle.hop.clickbank.netAm not kidding you people are getting it and its not a scam its true and its happening right in front of you. This people are shattering competition out with this google adwords secret and you to are not a formidable competition to them if they have a leverage above you. This amazing system was created by Dr Jon Cohen, MD (retired) who found a little-known "twist" in how to use the pay-per-click (PPC) and paid-for targeted advertising programs at Google™ and the other search engines. Dr Jon has personally used this to: * Eliminate over $87 million in otherwise paid-for and PPC ads at Google™ and other search engines over the course of about 9 years now! * Generate over $314 million in product sales as a result of this incredible savings! * Acquire a personal wealth of more than $68 million! (Net) * Start and develop 16 online ventures of his own. * Has coached "live" where he taught others this same amazing formula - including 198 executives from major Fortune 500 and FortuneSM 1000 companies, 14 representatives of publicly-traded companies on the New York Stock ExchangeSM (NYSE), 82 more on the NASDAQ®, 5 members of investment houses on the American Stock ExchangeSM (AMEX), as well as at least one former US Congressman (now retired also) who now stays at home and runs a home-based online family business, among countless others.

This system has nothing to do with Google "vouchers" or "AdWords™ credits."

Also, it has nothing to do with adding any special magical "code" or "script" to your website that will bar Google and other search engines from being able to bill you.

Instead, Dr Jon's system is very unique to say the least, and allows for the elimination of advertisers having to suffer the burden of costs of their Google and otherwise paid-for search engine advertising expenses!

It can even create many additional streams of income flooding money directly into your pocket very quickly! http://riungu.freegoogle.hop.clickbank.net

FINALLY AN AFFILIATE SCHEME THAT ACTUALLY WORKS

by Donna Percival

Since having my son four years ago i have spent lots of time looking online for an authentic business opportunity and unfortunately have spent some money on schemes that have proved to be no more than scams. Dis-heartened, I started to believe that it was impossible for anyone to actually earn through the net.
I am not very good at selling things that i do not believe 100% in and so there was my first problem!! In my experience any scheme that asks you to pay out for joining rings alarm bells very loudly, i have been burnt!!! I find it hard to try and convince people to join something just because i want to make money on it, i feel too guilty as i know the disappointment it can cause.
I have worked at home for the past three years as a childminder and had my second child in June 2007 so once again started to actively look on the web. I became more interested in affiliate programs rather than all business opportunities and this time decided not to spend any money.
I came across the Affiliate Junktion completely by accident but started reading their website and started to think about it seriously. They are a New Zealand company that guarantee that you will be earning $150 a day in 30 days but the best bit about it is that you can join for free. Once you join they supply you with a free website, free hosting, credits for google and yahoo search engines, 24/7 support centre and your own affiliate manager who is there to guide you. I joined only a week ago and I have already made $450 New Zealand Dollars, not bad for a few hours work. I have seen my daily income increase and have no doubt that this could be a very profitable venture.

If anyone is interested in an affiliate programme that actually works then please take a look at www.referralsontheweb.com it costs nothing to join.

Success with Clickbank

Clickbank.com is one of the most widely used and recognized websites devoted to help affiliate marketers find products to sell. It is completely free to sign up and start selling, and its easy to use formate makes it attractive for novice and expert alike.

To become an expert, it takes action. Sometimes it feels uncomfortable but after you do sell once and succeed you wonder how you ever got along without it.

To take action, you've got to first find out what your niche is. Some people break this process down into many steps, but to begin and start taking action the main thing you need to know is that a niche only means a category of product that people can and want to buy. Thats it. Cell phones are a product for the niche of people with a desire to communicate from anywhere.

The way I usually do niches is I define who my audience is by more specific terms than just a cell phone. An example would be: a "cell phone that downloads music". This niche would be people who want the simplicity of not having to carry around multiple gadgets just to talk and listen to the music they love. People who search for something like this are more likely to buy than someone looking through the internet shop windows and not buying anything.

Heres another one: investing. That is too vague to get buying customers to come to you because you are competing with billions of other sites, therefore confusing the searcher. A better example would be "real estate investing in chinese apartments". People looking for that specific type of investment would see your site if you made that your niche and would be more willing to look there than if you made a website that only used the keyword: investing.

You may not find chinese apartments for sale on clickbank, but there may be products in there that explain how to invest in foreign markets. You can then take a product like an ebook on the subject and then, after you find out what is in the book, promote it by advertising to people in niches specific as the chinese apartment example.

To have success with clickbank , it is important to break down your niches into specific targets so you know who to advertise to. It will save you loads of time and make you more money.
